After regularly practising yoga at her home city of London, Alice was compelled to learn more about the history, theory and teaching techniques. Alice independently travelled to India, the birthplace of yoga, and completed her Yoga Alliance 200 hour Teacher Training in yoga, meditation, chanting and pranayama. Her training took place at Himalaya Yoga Valley International Yoga Centre with YogacharyaLalit Kumar. She continued her stay in Goa and completed an Iyengar course at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre. It was during Alice’s volunteer work with a disabled school in Sri Lanka, where she taught yoga and restorative exercises, that she really discovered the true power and value of yoga! Alice takes inspiration from Kanga Yoga techniques, incorporating her education of Iyengar and Ashtanga and Sivananda. She tunes into each students’ abilities and adapts her classes to their individual needs. Alice’s experiences with Kanga Yoga are always great and filled with love. She enjoys working the Kanga family and sharing the teachings! Alice is inspired to continue and develop her practices in the UK and really enjoys passing on her knowledge and experiences to others through teaching. She will continue to further her own studies in yoga, philosophy and anatomy through self- study whilst working and growing.
