Colette WALLACE

Yoga Teacher, Actress, Dancer, Aqua Aerobics Instructor

Colette trained in professional dance for many years and has practiced yoga since he age of 16 as a means to counter balance the stress and strain professional dance placed on the body. Colette’s interest in yoga is a way to move through movement with ease of body and especially of mind, having spent years forcing her own body to do things beyond it’s capability and the mental aggression that formed by means of competative and forced motion. Colette is also a qualified aqua aerobics instructor and has taught shallow and deep water techniques for nearly two decades and combines her yoga knowledge in the pool as well.

Kanga enabled Colette to combine her own practice with an in depth exploration into the different practices available, with an invested interest in the physiological connected to the pyschological. Her classes are often focused on injury rehabilitation and prevention and look to find ways to access postures using props, straps and anything accesible to the student to allow ease of practice with breath work and meditation to release any both mind and muscles. She also brings humour into her classes as there is nothing better than a good laugh to clear the mind!
