Bettina Bachmann

Yogi, Entrepreneur, Environmentalist

Yoga is the magic of bringing it all together!

In her teachings Bettina loves to share her experiences and weave in pranayama, meditation, and yoga philosophy. The mat acts like a refuge in our daily obligations where we can experience new things and consciously bring breath, body, and mind together. Eventually, calmness and inner freedom arise.

Bettina is happy, when her students step off the mat with a positive feeling of kindness towards themselves and others – when compassion expands into the daily live, allowing changes to occur.

On her Yoga path, Bettina fell in love with the dynamic and energetic, but also philosophic and playful Jivamukti method some years ago. She enjoys diving deeper into the magic by currently studying the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali and learning more about Pranayama. Bettina loves staying curious, keep on exploring and going further.

Class description: Jivamukti Infused Flow
Jivamukti Infused Flow classes are energetic and uplifting classes most suitable for practitioners with a bit of experience. Music, philosophical dharma talks, pranayama and concentration/meditation praxis are part of the dynamic classes and woven in into every single unique class. The emphasis of the classes changes every time according to the focus of the month and tailored to the student’s needs.

Jivamukti Yoga
The Jivamukti method is deeply rooted in ancient yoga practices incorporating them into a modern lifestyle. Jivamukti is grounded in the original meaning of the Sanskrit word asana as “seat, connection” – relationship of earth, which implies all of life. The practice of asana becomes more than mere physical exercise; it becomes a way to improve one’s relationship to all others and thus lead to the realization of the oneness of being, the discovery of lasting happiness.
Jivamukti Yoga was founded in 1984 by Sharon Gannon and David Life and aims to reintegrate the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of yoga. Sharon and David are disciples of Sri Brahmananada Sarasvati, Swami Nirmalanda and Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.

The five tenets of Jivamukti – Ahimsa/compassionate non harming lifestyle; Bhakti/devotion; Dhyana/meditating and setting an intention; Nada/sound and Shastra/study of ancient yogic teachings – are incorporated in the vinyasa-based physical style.
Every class is unique! Drawing from the Focus of the Month (FOTM) for the spiritual teachings and playfully adapting the asana class to the abilities of the students, challenging them within their limits and focusing on alignment and safety.
