Francesca Danti

Circus Performer, Aerial Teacher & Drummer

Francesca Danti (Fra) is a circus performer, aerial teacher, and drummer based in Bristol since 2015. In Italy, she trained and grew up as a professional artist with the Amnio Teatro theatre company, as co-founder and performer https://www.amnioteatro.it/chi-siamo/ from 2008. There, she developed her circus and physical theatre skills and began to combine them with music, composing several original drum and vocal recordings for the performances. Throughout the eight years with Amnio, her love for performing became a full-time job touring with original shows, in theatres, schools, and festivals.

In 2017, directed by Firenza Guidi, she attended the International School of Performances http://www.elanfrantoio.org/ and shared her passions with many other performers from all over the world. From 2018, in Bristol, she started her 3 years course in Contemporary Circus and physical theatre at Circomedia, specializing in static trapeze and tippy hoop. With Circomedia she had the opportunity to use aerial with styles of performances such as narrative, creative dance, clown and stand up. At Circomedia, with a group of talented students they created the “Amongst the pigeons” circus company that performed a Cabaret together with Cirque Bijou & Extraordinary Bodies, and at Tilt Festival 2021. Teaching others is a rewarding and important part of her career, always delivered with fun and positivity. The great teachers she had the luck to work with, inspired her devising and training. Fun and positivity are fundamental parts to encourage students to believe more in themselves, without comparisons, as everyone can achieve what they want in so many beautiful ways.
